Fès

If Marrakech is a stage, Fès is a manuscript. The Medina of Fès el-Bali, founded in 789 and inscribed by UNESCO, is a labyrinth of nine thousand alleyways where the call to prayer rises five times a day from over three hundred minarets. The Qarawiyyin, established in 859, remains the world's oldest continuously operating university. Our role here begins where the cars must stop.
